"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Have you been hurt in an overseas accident?

Have you suffered an overseas accident?

If you’ve been involved in an overseas accident, you may be looking for help and advice regarding making a compensation claim. Although suffering any type of accident or injury can be traumatic, suffering an overseas accident can be particularly difficult with which to cope, particularly if a language barrier limits the help that you’re able to obtain.

If you obtained travel insurance prior to taking your trip, it’s likely that you’ll have been able to obtain medical help following your overseas accident. However, once you’re back in the United Kingdom you may need to seek follow-up treatment, depending on the type of accident in which you were involved or the type of injury that you sustained.

In some cases, people can suffer an overseas accident while they’re travelling, so you may find that it’s the travel company who are actually responsible for the harm you suffered, and you may be able to obtain compensation from them.

If you’re not sure who was responsible for your overseas accident, but you know that it wasn’t your fault, it can still be worth contacting a personal injury law firm as they will often be able to help you to find out who is liable, and help you to obtain compensation from them.

    Making a compensation claim

If you’ve suffered an overseas accident recently, there’s a good chance that we’ll be able to help you to make a claim, providing the incident wasn’t your fault. However, we could help you to make a compensation claim even if your accident occurred some time ago. At Accident Advice Helpline, we regularly help claimants who have suffered injures within the last three years, so don’t worry if you’ve waited a while to make your claim.
