    Oakdale Car Accident Claims

If you are living with an injured person, or have moved in with them for a short time to help them to recover more easily, it may be down to you to deal with their medication. A person that is seriously injured just needs to focus on their recovery, and may not be able to deal with sorting out their medicine as well, particularly if they are on a lot of medication and thus are not feeling as up to it as they may have otherwise been.

Here are some ways that you can arrange medication and ensure that this person gets all of the pain relief and other forms of treatment that they need, in order to recover more easily.

    • Sort out the medication into days. If this person is taking a lot of medication every day, you can sort out the different pills into bags, so that each bag represents what this person should be taking in a day. At least this way you will know that even if they take their medication in the wrong order, they will still be taking what they should for the day.
    • Write out a schedule. If the pills are to hand then you can write out a schedule so the person knows in which order they should be taking the medications that are set out for them for the day. You could set up an alarm so that they know to check their schedule throughout the day to see which pills they should be taking.
    • Look after the pills yourself. Instead of leaving the medication with someone who is badly injured and may not quite be ‘with it’, for the first few days it might be a good idea for you to take care of the medication so that they won’t wake up in pain and take another painkiller before they are allowed to.
