What are no win no fee claims?

No win no fee claims are claims with an agreement that stipulates that should a claim lose, then the unsuccessful claimant does not have to pay their own solicitor’s fees. They more often than not also stipulate that there are no upfront legal fees.

So the benefit of these agreements in the event of Nottinghamshire no win no fee claims for example is that the claimant does not have to pay for legal services. The downside to no win no fee claims is that they do not always protect the claimant from having to pay the other side’s costs if their claim loses. That is why no win no fee agreements often have compulsory insurance to protect the claimant.

Is no win no fee right for me?

No win no fee is, for all intents and purposes, a good thing and almost all personal injury claims are now taken on with this kind of agreement. This agreement was introduced in the UK in 1995. Prior to this, bringing a personal injury claim forward was out of the reach of normal, everyday folk because of the high cost of legal fees, No win, no fee solved this by stipulating that the claimant does not have to pay legal fees out of their own pocket.
