Have you been injured whilst ice skating?

Whilst ice skating is a popular sport and hobby, it can be fairly dangerous. Although skaters aren’t required to take any lessons before being able to skate, you should always take care when on the ice and follow any instructions that are given to you by staff.

For example, the ice rink staff may insist that people only skate in one direction as this can prevent collisions from occurring. Similarly, they may advise you to close your fists if you do fall over as this could prevent your hands being run over by another skater.

However, sometimes accidents do occur and there is a chance that you could be injured whilst ice skating. Although these types of accidents happen regularly, in some cases, it may be possible for you to make a claim for compensation.

Could a Northamptonshire law firm help you?

If you’ve been hurt or injured because of staff members, the ice rink owners, or the company which operates the rink, you could take legal action. If they allowed too many people on to the ice at once, for example, and an incident occurred, you may be able to make a claim against them.

Similarly, if the facility wasn’t being run safely and was in a state of disrepair, you could make a compensation claim if you were injured as a result of this.
