No win no fee experts in Tyne and Wear

Paying for legal advice and support when claiming compensation can be enough to send even the hardiest individual into a cold sweat, which is why you may be looking for no win no fee experts in Tyne and Wear. In order to do this, you need to understand how no win no fee came into being, and how to make sure you get the best person for your case.

    About no win no fee

The idea of no win no fee came about in the year 2000, when the government removed legal aid from the vast majority of personal injury claims. As a result, many people were left in an uncertain position. How could they make a claim and run the risk of losing their case? If that happened, and they were still deemed liable for the compensation, they could rapidly find themselves in financial trouble.

For this reason, no win no fee was brought into being. It stated that a firm would waive its fees if they did not win their case, in return for which the government agreed to an increase in the rate of fees they were allowed to charge.

Accident Advice Helpline came into existence at around this time, and was one of the first firms to offer the option of no win no fee. Our aim at the time was pretty simple: to ensure that everyone – regardless of their personal financial situation – would have access to everything they needed to make a claim. It was a way of reopening the law courts, which for some time had been closed off to people on limited incomes.

    Other ways of pay

But that’s not the only way to pay, though. If you’re really confident in your case, you can choose to pay in the traditional method. The argument for this is that the eventual fees you pay will be less, but that’s not always the case – never take anything for granted.

Another option is to take out claims insurance, although premiums are expensive and you’ll have to watch out for get-out clauses.
