    No Win No Fee Costs

What is no win no fee?

The no win no fee** system, also called Conditional Fee Arrangement (CFA), was introduced when legal aid for personal injury claims was abolished. Its purpose is to ensure that victims who cannot afford a solicitor can still gain access to justice.

Under a no win no fee arrangement, your solicitor takes no up-front payment for their services. No win no fee costs (i.e. your solicitor’s time and expertise in pursuing your case) are only charged if your claim is successful. Your solicitor will explain how it works in detail before you start your claim.

Accident Advice Helpline is one of the most established companies in the industry, and is recommended by renowned consumer champion Esther Rantzen, so you can be confident that making a claim with our help is fast, simple and efficient.

How do I know if I can make a no win no fee claim?

If you have suffered an injury which wasn’t your fault, you are likely to have a valid personal injury claim. This can include accidents at work, road traffic accidents, medical negligence, slips, trips and falls, and many other types of injury.

What no win no fee costs will I pay if I win?

No win no fee costs depend on a number of factors and can vary from case to case, but they apply only if your claim is successful. After initial assessment of your claim, your solicitor will discuss potential outcomes with you in detail. This advice is free and there is no obligation to proceed. Accident Advice Helpline works with hundreds of no win no fee lawyers throughout the UK and will put you in touch with the legal partner who is best placed to help you win your case.

What happens if my claim is unsuccessful?

If you lose your claim then you won’t pay a penny. Accident Advice Helpline only works with no win no fee lawyers, meaning that if you do not win, there are no costs for you to pay.

What is the time limit for making a no win no fee claim?

The time limit for initiating a no win no fee claim is usually three years. However, there are a number of exceptions to this, including children under 18 and claimants suffering from mental disability.

In the case of industrial diseases, such as asbestosis, where symptoms can take a long time to develop, the time limit runs from when the symptoms first appeared and were linked to the party in question.

If you are uncertain about whether you are eligible to make a no win no fee claim within the three year time limit, call the 24-hour Accident Advice Helpline today for free specialist legal advice.
