Expert tips on no win no claims lawyers for personal injury accidents

Since Legal Aid was abolished for most personal injury cases, many lawyers made an arrangement where their clients could still claim compensation without risking large amounts of money. Many legal firms will now offer to work on the basis that no win no claims lawyers fee would be charged. That means that if your claim for compensation is not successful then you do not need to pay your solicitor’s feels.
We have put together some top tips to help you with your compensation claim.
Top tip 1
Report the accident – Whatever the type of accident you were involved in, it is very important that you report it to the relevant person and/or company. If it was an accident at work, you need to inform your manager and enter the incident in the accident book. If you were involved in a car accident or other type of road traffic accident, then you need to inform the police and your insurance company.
In all cases, it is important that someone has been informed and there is documentation of the accident occurring.
Top tip 2
Record the details – While the details of the accident are still fresh in your mind, it would be extremely useful for your no win no claims lawyers if you write down an accurate and detailed description of the accident. If possible, take photographs of the accident with your mobile phone.
If you were involved in a car accident, you will need the details of the negligent party, including their name, address and contact details. Also, take down the name of their insurance provider. You will also need the details of the vehicle they were driving.
If there were any witnesses to your accident, write down their name and contact details too, as they will be able to confirm what happened during the accident.
Top tip 3
Seek medical advice – It is imperative that you see your GP or go to your local accident and emergency department as soon as possible. It may take a few days for the full extent of your injuries to be seen, but it is vital that you get a diagnosis and suitable treatment. Your medical records will also act as evidence to support your claim for compensation.
