    Motherwell Compensation

When should you make a claim for Motherwell compensation?

If you, or a loved one, have been hurt or suffered an injury recently, you may want to make a claim for Motherwell compensation as soon as possible. Although making a claim quickly can have lots of advantages, it isn’t the right course of action for everyone.

If you make a claim for Motherwell compensation soon after the injury occurred, you could ensure that you receive your Motherwell compensation as quickly as possible. In addition to this, the details of the incident which caused your injuries could still be fresh in your mind so you will be able to give a good account of what happened and identify who caused the harm.

However, in some instances, those injured suffer from shock or post-traumatic stress disorder which may make it difficult for them to make a claim for Motherwell compensation. If, for example, you find it difficult to talk about the incident or you suffer from memory lapses, you could find it difficult to provide a thorough account of what happened.

In some cases, people’s physical injuries may affect them from making a claim straight after the incident. If, for example, you suffer very serious injuries and you’re in a coma, you would obviously be unable to make a claim for Motherwell compensation. Even if you’re conscious, you may not want to make a claim for Motherwell compensation whilst you’re still receiving regular treatment for your injuries.

Fortunately, you don’t have to make a claim straightaway in order to be eligible for Motherwell compensation. Although there can be time limits involved, we can generally assist claimants who have made their claim within three years of the injuries occurring.

Of course, if a loved one has been seriously injured and is unable to make a claim themselves within this time, it’s possible that you could make a claim on their behalf so that they are still able to obtain the Motherwell compensation they are owed.

If you’d like to make a claim for Motherwell compensation or you want to find out if you still have time to make a compensation claim, we can help.
