    Minor whiplash UK claims

What is a minor whiplash UK claim?

Whiplash is a physical injury which is most commonly seen in people who are involved in road traffic accidents. These injuries affect the neck and spine when a sudden jolting or jerking movement takes pace and puts excessive stress and strain on the neck muscles, which unfortunately causes damage. Due to the number of cars on the road today, and the number of road traffic accidents, minor whiplash UK injuries are very common.

If you suffer a whiplash injury as a result of a road traffic collision which was somebody else’s fault, the law states that you are entitled to seek compensation for the physical, emotional and financial damage that you have experienced during the accident. From the time of the accident, you have up to three years to start your minor whiplash UK claim.

What is the claims process for whiplash?

With regards to how much compensation you could be entitled to, there is no definitive answer. Every claim is different, so Accident Advice Helpline will take all details on board when fighting your claim on your behalf.

The symptoms of minor whiplash are varied and individual. People who have experienced minor whiplash often struggle with getting into comfortable positions on a daily basis, meaning they are not able to rest or sleep or sometimes even walk comfortably. Sadly these effects aren’t always temporary, and for some people many of the effects of whiplash can be permanent.

As well as causing irritability, many people who suffer from accidents experience an emotional level of trauma due to dealing with the aftermath of the accident and other factors. If the accident in which you were involved that caused you whiplash wasn’t your fault and took place within the past three years, you should get in touch with us today.
