Lichfield No Win No Fee Accident

How to stop others being bullied in the workplace and make a no win no fee accident claim against your employer

If you are neither a bully nor being bullied in the workplace, then it may be tempting for you to keep your head down and get on with your work, instead of getting involved in such things. for many people this is absolutely the right way to go about things, as you are a professional when you are at work, and are there to do the job that you are paid for, rather than trying to make friends and so on. However, if you feel that someone is being a bully, even if it is not to you, they could still indirectly affect your work by making it more difficult for others to do theirs. Here are some ways that you can tackle the problem without making yourself a target.

    • Be prepared to speak up. If you see someone being picked on in the workplace, you should be prepared to speak up for them if they aren’t prepared to speak up for themselves. Simply calling someone on their behaviour can often be enough to get them to change, as they may be hoping that their behaviour isn’t being noted by others.
    • Speak to the person being bullied. Explain to them that in a professional environment there is no reason that they shouldn’t stand up for themselves, as they are a professional and need to be able to do their job to the best of their ability, without anyone else getting in the way.
    • Speak to your employer. If you notice that one person is systematically working their way around the office and picking on people, you should decide to speak up on behalf of those being picked on with your employer. It is then up to your employer to have a word with the bully, or even let them go if their behaviour is extreme enough.
