Have you been injured while on holiday through someone else’s fault? If so, you might have been looking for a law firm in Barry. Accident Advice Helpline is one of the UK’s largest law firms, and we can help you if you want to make a claim for personal injury compensation.

    Personal injury compensation

There are a few things you should bear in mind when you are going on holiday, and one of the most important is things that you can do for your own safety, and to avoid getting into difficulty. If you want to stay safe in any hotel you are staying in, you should think about everything from booking the right hotel to looking after yourself during your stay, and this includes checking in safely. Make sure that you know what to do to make your check in as safe as possible and provide yourself with a sense of security throughout the rest of your holiday.

    • Ask for a room on a mid-level floor. If you have been given a room on the ground floor, ask if it is possible to be changed to a higher floor, as ground floor rooms are much easier to access by criminals and thieves. It is suggested that the third to sixth floors of the hotel are safest, high enough to avoid criminals, low enough in case of fire.
    • Make sure no one hears your room number. If the front desk assistant says your room number loudly when they hand you the key, ask for a different room and for them not to say out loud which it is. Anyone listening could find out your name and room and this could be dangerous for you.
    • Find out the emergency numbers and information. Ask the reception desk all of the emergency numbers you need in case of a problem and how to get help as quickly as possible if something goes wrong.
    • Work out where your fire exit is. As you are arriving, walk down your corridor to work out exactly where your nearest fire exit would be, as well as a backup option in case this option is not possible.

Finding a good law firm in Barry

If you have been injured in your hotel, a law firm in Barry may be able to make a claim for compensation on your behalf, as long as you can prove that the hotel was at fault. A law firm in Barry should be able to prove fault, as they have a better sense of the law and can work with you to put together a case.
