    Lancaster accident

Every county has its own recognised county town. In the case of Lancashire, that town – or in this case, city – is Lancaster. This part of the county has a population of just over 50,000. Additionally, there are those who come into the city daily to work. You may occasionally hear of a Lancaster accident taking place somewhere in the city or the surrounding areas, but this is not that common, thankfully.

When accidents do occur, they have the potential to happen in a number of ways. This is true of any location in the UK; you are no more likely to experience a mishap in this particular area, and that’s good to know.

Are accidents at work particularly common?

No. In fact, many people will end up retiring having never experienced an accident in this setting. That’s great news, but of course you do occasionally read about serious accidents that might have occurred in the workplace. Sometimes, potential negligence by the employer is found to have caused the incident.

This is really why such accidents are very uncommon. The overwhelming majority of people with their own businesses that employ others are diligent in ensuring they follow every element of the Health and Safety at Work Act. This ensures accidents in the workplace – wherever that may be – are kept to a minimum, and rarely happen at all.

Can you claim for any injuries you suffer at work?

Any work-based accident could potentially lead to the chance to claim compensation. A lot will depend on the situation, the facts and what happened. If the accident should not have occurred and you did everything to try and avoid your Lancaster accident in the first place, then yes, you should at least find out whether compensation may be a possibility.
