Involved in an accident in Llandrindod Wells

Accidents and injuries can happen while you are at work and sometimes it’s hard if someone you know caused the accident. This is why you need the right advice if you’ve been involved in an accident in Llandrindod Wells

How to stop fighting with a colleague and make a claim

Fighting with a colleague is inevitable when you have been working somewhere for a long time. As colleagues, you actually spend more time together than you do with friends and family, but you don’t get to choose your colleagues, or how much time you spend with them, meaning that clashes are inevitable.

If you are in a fight with a colleague, it is best to resolve the situation sooner rather than later, or you risk causing problems across the rest of your job as well, or getting a bad reputation with your employer. Here are some ways that you can quickly and easily resolve any conflict with a colleague.

    • Suggest solutions. Try to come to a compromise with your colleague if you are struggling to work out who is right or wrong in the situation. Even if you just have to agree to disagree, this is better than trying to continue the argument for the sake of ‘winning’. If you can come up with a solution that you are both happy with, this will work best for you and your job.
    • Ask someone to step in. It may not be appropriate to ask your employer to step in, as they probably have better things to do, but you could ask someone who is completely unbiased to step in and help you to decide on a way that you can both walk away happy, and stop this argument as soon as possible.
    • Don’t get emotional. Try to stop your own feelings and emotions from taking hold when you are in an argument with a colleague, as you are at work and should try to remain professional at all times. Whatever your conflict is about, it is best to stick to the facts and don’t take anything personally.
    • Just agree to disagree. If you can’t find a solution to your argument, simply leave it there and stop arguing. This is a last resort that will at least stop you from getting into any trouble with your boss.
