    Insurance Claims

    Making insurance claims

As you progress through life and face its many challenges, it is almost inevitable that you will need to make one or more insurance claims. There was a time when the only insurance policies you might hold would be for your home (building and contents), your car and perhaps your life! But we live in a modern world and are assailed on all sides by companies offering to insure our dogs, cats, goldfish, or indeed any pet you can care to mention. We are persuaded to insure against defaulting on loan repayments and to subscribe to medical insurance, even insurance against not being insured! Okay, so the last one was made up, but it serves to illustrate how confusing life can be when not only taking out insurance, but making the insurance claims as well.

    Insurance Claims

But what if something happens to you – perhaps a physical injury, something serious enough to require medical attention? You probably won’t have a policy to cover it. The good news is it almost certainly does not matter, as long as it is someone else’s fault. Tripping on a raised manhole cover, being hit by falling debris from a passing refuse truck – these everyday occurrences can lead to injury, and from injury to insurance claims.

    Expertise to help

It is the negligent third party that needs to make the claim in order to pay your compensation award. Sounds too good to be true almost and it might be if it were left up to you as an individual to pursue. Fortunately you do not have to because right here at Accident Advice Helpline we have the means to put you in touch with any one of our trusted legal professionals with the expertise to help.

    • Nationwide network of legal professionals
    • No upfront payments
    • 100% No Win No Fee*

If you’re thinking this is starting to sound complicated, you need not worry. First of all, it is not and secondly, if it does get complicated, it’s the legal professionals that sort it out, so you don’t have to. Now you might be thinking, “if only I’d known about this sooner”. Well there’s more good news. The law allows for compensation claims for personal injury to be made up to 3 years after the event. If the claim relates to industrial disease, this 3 year limit may not apply as the claim will relate to the time of diagnosis, rather than the time the cause of the disease was present.
