"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Injury solicitors in Llanrhidian

Llanrhidian is situated on the north Gower coast, a very beautiful location. There are salt marshes there used for grazing and cockling. In the woods near Llanrhidian is the buried village of Llanelen and there’s a tragic tale attached to it.

Some sailors who had been stranded on the coast made their way to Llanelen to ask the villagers for assistance. Unfortunately they were plague carriers and the whole population of the village was wiped out. If such an event occurred now, the surviving relatives of the people who had died could, in theory at least, claim personal injury compensation from the sailors (who, as carriers, may have survived).

It might be possible to argue that their joint negligence was responsible for the deaths of the Llanelen residents. Of course, there were no injury solicitors in Llanrhidian in those days (or ones based elsewhere, for that matter), so such a claim would not have been possible.

Why seek injury solicitors in Llanrhidian or elsewhere?

If you have been injured in an accident and can, along with your injury solicitors in Llanrhidian, or ones based close to where you live, prove that the accident was no fault of yours, you may be able to make a personal injury compensation claim.

You may also be looking for a firm of injury solicitors in Llanrhidian, for example, if you have been diagnosed with an illness which you can prove was caused by another person’s negligence. It might be that you have a work-related illness and you can prove your employer was negligent in his or her duty to provide you with a safe and healthy working environment.

How long do I have to file a claim?

You usually have three years in which to file a personal injury compensation claim, although sometimes you only have two. The time frame depends on where your accident and injuries took place. For example, if you were injured in an accident at sea, in the air or at an airport, you only have two years in which to make a claim.

Also if you were injured during the course of a crime, you also only have two years to file your claim. If the attack took place in England, Wales or Scotland, then you can claim through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. If it took place in Northern Ireland, you can claim via the Northern Ireland Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.
