If you have visited Lee-on-the-Solent, you will know that it is a fairly sleepy town close to Gosport in Hampshire. There is a civil airfield there — Daedalus Airfield — which is a helicopter base for the HM coastguard search and rescue team on the south coast. The airfield is home to more than 100 aircraft, helicopters, gliders, microlight and motorgliders, and the town also has the Hovercraft Museum with some of the largest and earliest on display. From the seafront there are views of the Isle of Wight, and although Lee-on-Solent failed to take off as a seaside resort, it still attracts kite surfers and jet skiers.

Aircraft accidents and accidents on planes
You may be injured in an accident on board a plane, as although travelling by plane is very safe, accidents can happen anywhere. A member of the cabin crew may accidentally spill a hot drink on you, perhaps because of unexpected turbulence, or because they were bumped by a passenger or cabin crew member. You may slip in the aisle because of some liquid or food spillage, or you may have food poisoning after eating a meal on a plane. If you can prove negligence caused your injury or illness, then you may be entitled to make a personal injury compensation claim.
