It is suspected that these injuries involved neck and head injuries. The 37 other passengers received mild injuries and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital according to the East of England Ambulance Service.

    The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa was a woman who is 40 years old and she was injured as well. The Hertfordshire Constabulary has said that they have arrested a man who is suspected to have caused the accident by dangerous driving. Police have said that the road will need to be closed for several hours to allow emergency services to deal with the crash scene and that motorists should avoid travelling on the road as there will be major disruptions.

    The bus company that was involved in the crash, UNO, is owned by the University of Hertfordshire and a spokeswoman for the university has said that they have been supporting the students who were injured and members of the community, along with their families. MP for Chipping Barnet stated to the media that the efforts of emergency services to get to the crash site quickly helped to make sure the accident did not have more serious repercussions.
