Whiplash – not a ‘real’ injury, surely?!
People who have suffered a whiplash injury will tell you it is no laughing matter and very much a real injury! If you have never had whiplash, you will never know the pain and discomfort associated with this injury…
Mild or severe whiplash
Mild whiplash can mean you are walking around with a sore neck and shoulders but there are some people who suffer the most severe whiplash injury; this means discomfort and pain around the neck and shoulder that is excruciating. Some people also find that they suffer pins and needles down the arms and into the hands and fingers.
People who suffer from severe whiplash may also need to have medical treatment and advice such as scans and physiotherapy.
