Claims for an injury from a coach accident on the M5 will need the assistance of an Injury lawyer in West Bromwich

The town of West Bromwich is located in the West Midlands region of England and it was the site of an unfortunate accident involving a coach vehicle which crashed and overturned while carrying 53 passengers on August 19. The coach was travelling on the M5 from Black Country to seaside remains and the accident resulted in five of the passengers being admitted to hospital for minor injuries. Police have been unable to find out how the coach became overturned in a ditch as the driver was injured and is still receiving medical treatment at the Bristol Royal Infirmary for shoulder, rib and back injuries. A section of the M5 was closed for a few hours by police while the crash was investigated.

The coach belongs to the coach firm, Prospect Coaches, and they are conducting their own investigation, in addition to the one being carried out by local police. The coach firm has said that the driver was experienced with over eight years of experience.

The Confederation of Passenger Transport has said that the coach has been taken for an inspection and tests by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency to determine if there was any fault with the vehicle. A spokesman for the confederation has said that the driver’s injuries are minor and staff have visited him in hospital.

Details have been revealed by media about the context of the crash and said that the coach was part of a convoy of four vehicles from Prospect Coaches that was making a seaside day trip to Weston-super-Mare. Also, it was reported that 25 children were a part of the 53 passengers on board the coach that crashed and it had picked up passengers from Action for Children day care centre. Businesses at the West Country have organised so that the children who had their trip marred by the crash, had a special day out to enjoy the beach trip that was initially planned.
