The Kenfig is a stream in Wales, and Abercynffig is Welsh for ‘mouth of the Kenfig’, or the mouth of that stream. So, Aberkenfig, the English version of that word, is an appropriate name for the village in Bridgend in Wales. Bridgend is in the south of the country, and is one of several counties there. The local ward, which includes the village, has a population of just over 2,000 people. It is not as easy to find an injury lawyer in Aberkenfig as it would be in areas with a denser population, but hopefully you wouldn’t have any reason to find someone with this skill anyway.
Of course, you are here on our website and reading this, which may mean you were looking for information that would lead you to someone who could help with a potential compensation claim. Injuries happen to us all at some point in our lives, sometimes more than others. But few of those injuries will be caused by other people. So, have you sustained injuries you believe were caused through negligence?
What is negligence?
It’s a word most people are familiar with. It is also a word that crops up a lot regarding accidents and claims for compensation. There is a very good reason for that, too. If you want to try and claim some compensation following any accident you have had that left you with some injuries, you must be able to prove negligence. More specifically, you must prove someone else’s negligence was the root cause of your accident.
In some cases, this is obvious. Yet in others, it can be difficult for someone to work out whether such a notion applies. This is where the services of a no-win, no-fee* lawyer can be very useful indeed. They will know what questions to ask, what to look for, and how to proceed if a claim does look likely to succeed. In short, they are the best people to seek advice from if you are ever in an accident that has left you with some injuries.
