Claims for an injury from a road accident caused by a mechanical problem will need the help of an Injury expert in West Yorkshire

The county of West Yorkshire is located in England and it was the site of a tragic incident where a young woman died in a minibus crash. The Leeds Crown Court heard the inquest into the minibus incident and the sister of the woman that died made a statement. She said that the minibus was travelling on the M62 motorway at only 5.5 miles per hour just before the collision. Also, the court heard how 11 women were injured on the minibus but there was only one woman who sustained multiple serious injuries that led to her death in April 2013.

The driver of the lorry that hit the minibus in the crash had a charge of death by dangerous driving heard at the court and the charge was denied by the lorry driver, Kevin Ollerhead. The same charge was made against the driver of the minibus, James Johnson, from Wyke in Bradford but he has pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Leeds Crown Court heard numerous details about the incident, one of which was that Ollerhead had been driving his lorry on cruise control at the time of the collision. The jury at the court heard how the hen’s party had begun their journey from South Elmsall for the weekend trip in Liverpool before the wedding. Some of the women said that as the minibus drove on to the M1 motorway, they could smell some kind of burning. As a result, they got the driver to check the vehicle but when the vehicle made its way to to the M62, the minibus slowed down to around 5 miles per hour.

Other vehicles honked their horns due to the slow speed of the bus and avoided the minibus. However, the lorry that was on cruise control drove into the back of the minibus while it was travelling at just over 50 miles per hour.
