A typical day – njury compensation claims support from solicitor

A typical day usually involves dealing with some cases which are just beginning as well as some claims which we are in the process of settling, as well as dealing with day-to-day matters in claims which have been running for a significant amount of time. As an injury claims solicitor, I enjoy the variety that the cases bring. The new cases allow me to speak to the victim from the outset, take down all the details of the case and try to form a picture of what exactly happened on the day of the accident. Often this might involve speaking to witnesses as well. Sometimes stories conflict or there are holes in the story and it is up to the injury claims solicitor to form a solid claim by ironing out the inconsistencies and establishing a coherent chain of the events which led to the accident.

Some of the cases an injury claims solicitor deals with are complicated due to either the nature of the accident or the severity of the injury, or both. In long-running cases we deal with the same client for months and sometimes years. The client comes to know me and the job is all the more satisfactory when we can obtain significant compensation to help our client move forward with their life. Often the compensation can help them to lead a more normal life, or can make aspects of their life easier, if they have been disabled by the accident.

During the day we will also liaise with Accident Advice Helpline. Whilst our computer systems are designed to provide updates on each case, we often speak directly to the advisors to put them in the picture on the progress of a particular case.

Usually, our clients have started the whole process by taking Accident Advice Helpline’s 30-second online test to see if their claim may be a valid one. An injury claims solicitor’s life is not an easy one, but it does give great satisfaction.
