The town of Leuchars is north of the village of Guardbridge, which lies on the north bank of the River Eden where it widens to the Edenmouth estuary, before joining the North Sea at St Andrews Bay. Leuchars is seven and a half miles (12 km) north east of Cupar and six miles (9.7 km) north west of the university town of St Andrews. The city of Dundee is seven miles (11 km) to the north, across rail and road bridges spanning the Firth of Tay. The town is now probably best known for the Royal Air Force base RAF Leuchars, which was established in 1920 and today is home to the Eurofighter Typhoon.
Need to make a claim?
Like anywhere else within the UK, Leuchars is susceptible to its fair share of accidents, the victims of which are not always at fault. A lot of the time, being injured in an accident has much further reaching consequences than one might first think. As well as the immediate implications of not being able to work or drive, there are also longer term implications relating to the care of the victim, their home and their family. Many people who are injured to the extent that it takes a few weeks or even months before they are back on their feet find that they need to enlist the help of family, friends and professionals to help them keep on top of everyday jobs, childcare or home maintenance tasks.
Injury claim in Leuchars
However, it is not enough to simply state as part of an injury claim in Leuchars that the victim has done this or that; it is better if you can prove it. Claimants can help with this process by keeping receipts, invoices, bank statements or anything they think will help to calculate the costs involved in their case.
Expenses relating to medicines, food and drinks bought in hospital, and petrol used by relatives taking the claimant to medical appointments can all be claimed for, too. The best course of action is to keep everything written down and as many receipts as possible to get back everything you are entitled to.
