    Injury Claims In Greenford

The suburb of Greenford belongs to the Borough of Ealing, which is located in west London, England. It is traversed by the A40, a major dual-carriageway route that connects the suburb to the neighbouring towns of Harrow, Hillingdon and Brent as well as Hammersmith, Kensington and Westminster. Motorists have also easy access to the North Circular Road thanks to the A40 to reach Barnet and Waltham Forest to the north and east respectively.

Greenford is the well-known location of the former J Lyons & Co factory. The company employed a large number of people on its 63 acres site by the Grand Union Canal. Tea blender and food manufacturer Lyons’ purpose-built factory in Greenford boasted steam and electrical power plants, used to power not just the various machines engaged in getting tea and coffee ready for shipment but also medical facilities and staff canteen. Everybody had access to Lyons’ factories medical facility in 1921, including employees’ families. It was unusual and forward-thinking at the time.

In a busy and bustling area outside the factory, workers would have made tea and coffee ready for export and new transport docks. This was as well as an onsite railway system developed to get raw goods into the factory and processed food stuffs out to the warehouses or ready for shipment.

    Cooking with steam

Anyone who’s ever seen a pressure cooker explode in their kitchen knows how powerful steam can be, when it suddenly finds a vent. Factory accidents across Britain were common place, but those who were injured because their employers had cut corners and hadn’t maintained machinery properly rarely received compensation for their injuries.

If you had an accident at work that was the result of employer negligence, you can make an injury claim and receive compensation for your injuries. To qualify for making an injury claim in Greenford your accident at work must have happened within the last 3 years, although some industrial disease claims fall outside this time limit and are treated more leniently.
