    Injury advice

When you have been through the difficult and traumatic experience of a personal injury, receiving injury advice is invaluable and can be a cause of great comfort. There are many different sources of advice, which are explored in more detail here.

    Injury advice from your doctor

If you have been involved in an accident, one of your first ports of call will likely be to your local GP surgery or hospital A&E department to receive injury advice from a medical professional. This is important because even if you think you have escaped from an accident unscathed, some injuries may not present themselves immediately; as can be the case with concussion resulting from a head injury.

The injury advice given by a medical professional will likely include medication, treatment and recovery recommendations. This may include the use of strong painkillers and bed rest and perhaps specialist attention including physiotherapy, x ray, or a scan dependent on your injury type and severity. Your doctor will likely document this in a medical report, which can be used to prove the extent of your injuries when making a claim.

Injury advice from a specialist law firm

Once you have received medical attention, you may wish to receive further advice about how to progress an injury claim. At Accident Advice Helpline, we are a specialist law firm and we have a wealth of experience in handling personal injury claims. We work hard to ensure people like you who have been involved in an accident and wish to make a claim, are able to do so in a stress-free way.

You can check your eligibility to claim and find out more about the claims process by speaking with one of our friendly advisers. Alternatively, you may wish to use our 30-second calculator tool which will return an approximate compensation figure.
