    Injured in Pendle

Due to road traffic accidents all over the country, every day people are suffering from different injuries and emotional scars. With any injury the pain and symptoms will depend on the severity of the injury. You could sustain a mild injury in a road traffic accident or a severe injury.

Sadly Pendle road traffic accidents are the cause of some peoples injuries. The most common being the injury known best to us as Whiplash. Whiplash is not a medical term but more a nickname for the symptoms felt. It is commonly associated with car accidents but it can be caused in many other ways. Whiplash occurs when there is damage to the neck; this could be the tendons, muscles or ligaments.

It normally happens to people when something causes their head to be thrown forwards, backwards and sideways with a force and a jolt. This causes the soft tissue around the neck to move from its normal position putting them under strain and even on occasions tearing them.

This action is like a sprain in another part of the body, it is a type of sprain but in the neck. The person is then left with a number of symptoms which can vary depending on the severity of the whiplash. Symptoms include: Headaches, nausea, dizziness, backache, pain in the neck and around the neck, restricted neck movements, fatigue and mood swings.

There are probably more symptoms than you had thought and really unless you have suffered from a whiplash injury it is hard to imagine what someone is going through.

Thankfully in most cases whiplash is treatable. You will need plenty of rest and you must make sure you get it looked at by a medical professional who can prescribe you some painkillers. This can be followed up with light exercise and a course of physiotherapy.

Pendle road traffic accidents are not always the fault of the injured party. If someone else has caused you to be injured in Pendle, you may be able to get some compensation.  You should look into finding a solicitor who deals with injuries from Pendle road traffic accidents to see if you have a valid claim.
