Hip Fracture

Hip Fracture?

It is a common misconception, or an urban myth if you will, that a hip fracture is something that can only befall an elderly person and that it does not happen to the young. Unfortunately, this is not the case and as anyone who has suffered a hip fracture will tell you, no matter how old or young you are it is a very painful and debilitating injury. This is the case as any form of hip fracture will make it painful to put any weight on your leg and will therefore, require you to walk with crutches or in some cases even require the use of a wheelchair.

What all of this means is that a hip fracture can cause a great deal of inconvenience and change to your everyday life whilst you are waiting to fully recover and this can be expensive. For instance, a hip fracture may require you to pay out for public transport for an extended period of time whilst you cannot drive or may even prevent you from working until you are back on your feet. As everyone knows, economic circumstances are not at their rosiest right now and this means that these kinds of extra costs can be financially crippling, so what if the hip fracture was not your fault?

What if it Wasn’t your Fault?

If you are suffering the physical, psychological and financial pain caused by a hip fracture that was the result of somebody else’s actions, then you could be legally entitled to seek compensation for your injury. This compensation is available both as a means of accounting for the physical and emotional pain that you have gone through and as a way in which you can cover the financial costs of your injury without falling into debt or losing your hard earned savings.
