    Highland car accident claims

How to keep your employer happy when you have to sign off from work, and how to make Highland car accident claims after an accident

When you have been involved in a serious accident and need to take some time off work, one of the things that you may worry about is how your boss is going to take it. Obviously it is a massive inconvenience when you are unable to go to work, but if you are legitimately ill or injured then there is nothing that your employer can do about it.. Here are some ways that you can keep your employer happy anyway.

    • Let them know straight away. If you are going to be signed off from work, letting your employer know on the day can help them to find a replacement or at least decide what they are going to do sooner rather than later. Even if you leave it a day or two it will make their lives more difficult.
    • Keep them updated. Make sure that you call into your office from time to time to let them know what is happening and when they can expect you back, or at the very least what your progress is. This helps them to keep you in mind and puts their minds at ease.
    • Offer your doctors notes. You will be provided with doctors notes which are to prove that your doctor believes that you are not fit for work. You can tell your employer about these, but it is better for both you and them if they have a copy of these for their records.
    • Be honest. Try to be honest and upfront about your condition and how long you expect that it will take you to get back to work. If you lie or are not straight with them, it makes it more difficult for your employer to sort out the situation.

If the reason that you need to take this time off work is that you were involved in an accident which was not your fault, why not think about making Highland car accident claims against the person that was at fault for your accident?
