"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Greenwich ‘no win, no fee’ claims

If you think you might be able to make a Greenwich ‘no win, no fee’ claim then the solicitors, and the rest of the team at Accident Advice Helpline will do all they can to help you make that claim and secure the financial compensation you are entitled to.

Here at Accident Advice Helpline, we thought we would provide you with some of the answers to the most frequent questions our Greenwich ‘no win, no fee’ solicitors get asked, to help you become more informed about the process and what to expect.

I don’t know who is responsible for my accident, can I still claim?

In order to make a claim for compensation one of the most important things is that someone else is liable for your accident. In other words, that someone else caused it.

When you start your claim it doesn’t matter if you do not know who is liable as it is the job of your Greenwich ‘no win, no fee’ solicitor to investigate this and establish liability. In some instances we have had people contact us to start a claim suggesting that one person was liable, and this person has not been – so it really makes no difference from our point of view.

Your Greenwich ‘no win, no fee’ solicitor will look at the details surrounding your accident, and determine who would ultimately have been responsible from a legal point of view. It will then be against this person that a claim for compensation will be made.

The 30 second test says I can get £10,000 – is that what I will receive?

    Not necessarily.

The 30 second test is designed to act purely as a guideline to help you find out how much your claim might be worth. Unfortunately it is not able to take into consideration all the different things that may affect the value of your claim.

For example, if you are found to be partially responsible for your accident then the amount of compensation you are likely to be entitled to will be reduced.

Figures are also based on basic injury descriptions; however, what may be a minor “arm injury” for one person may be a more severe one for someone else. We all heal differently, and we all have different jobs and roles to play which means that even a minor injury may have a huge impact on an individual’s life. These are things that are taken into account when determining compensation values.

Additionally, the 30 second test cannot calculate lost income you may have incurred as a result of time taken off from work, or out of pocket expenses you may have had to make as a result of your injury. Your Greenwich ‘no win, no fee’ solicitor can, and will do this, so please keep receipts of any payments you have had to make.
