Greenwich No Win No Fee Compensation Claim

    Personal Injury Solicitors in Greenwich

Are you making a Greenwich no win no fee* compensation claim against a disqualified driver?

In order for people to drive legally on the roads in the United Kingdom, they are required to hold a valid driving licence and have the appropriate insurance in place. If they are stopped and charged with minor traffic infringements, they may receive points on their licence. If, for example, they are caught speeding, they may be offered the chance to take part in a speed awareness course or to receive three points on their licence and pay a fine.

However, if they receive numerous points on their license, it will be revoked. Although this is normally temporary, it doesn’t mean that they can’t drive legally on the roads. Similarly, if someone has caused a serious accident or was found to be driving dangerously, they could be prosecuted and they could be banned from driving, regardless of whether they had any points on their licence.

If your licence is revoked, you should stop driving immediately and it would be illegal for you to continue to drive. If you were to carry on driving, your insurance would also be invalidated so you could be committing a number of offences.

Unfortunately, some people do continue to drive despite not having a licence. This, in itself, is a serious offence but it can be even more serious if they cause an accident or collision whilst behind the wheel. In some cases, disqualified drivers who are driving illegally may then try to flee the scene of an accident or try to evade police for fear of getting caught. This can only lead to further accidents and criminal charges so it is not an advisable course of action at all.

If you are involved in a collision with a disqualified driver and the incident wasn’t your fault, it is possible for you to make a Greenwich no win no fee* compensation claim against them. If they are prosecuted by the police, it may even make it easier for you to make a Greenwich no win no fee* compensation claim as they could have already been shown to have been responsible for the incident.
