    Greenock accident at work claim

What can you do to heal better from an injury, and how can you make an accident at work claim?

If you have had a serious injury then it will be important to you that you are able to heal quickly and effectively, in order to get on with your life again as soon as possible. Healing from an injury will usually just take time, so there is only so much you can do to get better quickly.

However, if you do feel that you are making positive steps towards getting better, this can make the healing time feel more productive, and help to stop the frustration that comes with feel ill or pain during this time.

    • Take care of yourself. Most people will take care of themselves for the first week or so after an accident, but will then start to think that they can pretty much do whatever they want and their body will take care of itself. This is not true. The way that you treat your body directly affects how quickly you will recover from illness or injury.
    • Listen to your doctor. Not one thing your doctor says is for their benefit, it is all for yours. If your doctor tells you that you need to be taking a certain course of medication, then see this course through to the end. If your doctor tells you to get some exercise every day, they really do mean it, and not listening could stall your recovery.
    • Ask questions. You are far more likely to heal well from any injuries that you are suffering if you speak to your doctor before you head home from hospital and ask questions about what you are suffering from and how best you can heal from it.
