Fall from a height in Eden

Had a fall from a height in Eden?

You may have been lucky and had a fall from a height in Eden, but escaped with only minor injuries. Even if your injuries were relatively minor, you may be eligible to make a personal injury compensation claim.

If you can prove that the accident in which you were injured was not your fault, you may be eligible to make a claim for your injuries. You would have to prove that another person’s negligence or recklessness caused the accident. You also have to have received immediate medical attention.

If the police were summoned to your accident scene, they will have investigated its causes. On completion of their investigations, they will have written up an accident report which you would need a copy of if you go ahead with a personal injury compensation claim.

After any accident in which you are injured, you should seek immediate medical attention. If you delay seeking treatment for your injuries, this could affect your claim negatively. The sooner you receive medical treatment the sooner you will be able to establish the nature of your injuries and the effects they will have on your quality of life.

How long do I have to make a claim?

If your accident happened in the UK, you usually have three years to make a claim for injuries from its date. You shouldn’t just assume that this is true for your particular claim though. There are some accidents and injuries that have to be claimed for in a shorter time period.

It is better to make a claim within the limitation period than to attempt to file it after the time for doing so has elapsed. You would have to prove that there had been exceptional circumstances preventing you from doing so to make a retrospective claim.
