Looking for expert legal help in Wychavon after a circus accident?
If you have ever dreamed of running away with the circus, the first step to start with could be some circus skills classes.
Most circus classes start with a kind of lucky dip selection, where you get to try out lots of different kinds of skills. This can include high wire walking, (although it’s more like low wire walking of course since when you start you are no more than 4 inches above the ground), juggling, diabolo, balancing acts and acrobatics, and of course both static and flying trapeze.
Other courses to try out include clowning (which is a certifiable skill) and knife throwing.
Lots of Fitness Needed!
Circus skills are a very physically demanding activity and you need to be in quite high levels of fitness to try them. You will find yourself doing a lot of strength and balance training alongside the fun parts, and the warm ups themselves can last for up to an hour. However if you really fall in love with circus skills it can be really fun and something to really show off about.
As well as making friends and gaining new skills, you will get to perform in front of an audience, and wear some great outfits into the bargain. It’s a great way of learning to trust other people, and to be ready to help. Quite literally, you can’t let a friend down in circus.
Be Aware of Health and Safety
Obviously you need to be aware of health and safety at all times.
- Do not forget to wear a harness when instructed.
- Do not forget to wear the right shoes or no shoes if that is required, and do not wear any kind of clothes which are going to get tangled in equipment. Always watch out for others.
- Check the equipment before you use it.
- You can expect to get bruises, rope burns, and sometimes twisted ankles and aching muscles from a circus class.
