A claim for an injury from an accident at a student protest march will require expert injury solicitors in Westminster

The borough of Westminster is found in the Greater London area in England and it is set to be the location of a student march on Parliament in the coming month. The march is a protest to education cuts and tuition fees, it will see students march through central London and meet at a rally outside the Westminster Palace.

The Student Assembly Against Austerity has organised the protest march but the march will be supported by various other groups including the National Union of Student, Young Greens and National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts. The date for the march has been set for 19 November and is part of a wider campaign for free education that will be ongoing up till the following year’s general election.

The organiser of Student Assembly Against Austerity has said that free education is a viable policy and that increasing tuition fees along with student debt shows that education is not a priority for the government. The organiser provided the example of Germany which recently got rid of university tuition fees as evidence that free tuition can work and is not an extreme policy. He added that the campaign will continue up until the General Election, student groups will be putting pressure on politicians to show their opposition to education cuts and increasing student debt.

A member of the campaign group, National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts, has said that in the four years that the Coalition has been in government, higher education has become less accessible to those who don’t come from rich families. In addition, education sector workers are being outsourced and laid off in large numbers. The student protest march will start at Malet Street before going to Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Strand, before going to Parliament where the rally will be held.
