Have you been injured in an accident that you weren’t responsible for? If so you will need the help and advice of an experienced law firm in South Lakeland. This is where we come in and our advisers are waiting to help you now.

These days, there are so many different insurance companies offering various different types of insurance that it can be hard to find the right one. Then, once you have found one, when it comes to making a claim this can difficult, and some of us often tend to shy away from making a claim when these large organisations are involved. But, at Accident Advice Helpline, we deal with them every day.

We know how to present your claim in the way such large organisations want it, and can deal with the responses in a quick, simple, and efficient manner. There are five main types of insurance that will cover most events leading to a compensation claim. Our law firm deals with these on a daily basis.

    Employers’ liability insurance

This cover, with just a few exceptions such as government departments, is a legal requirement that all employers must have. This will then protect themselves and employees, if someone has an accident or manages to contract an industrial disease whilst at work. There is a minimum cover of £5 million, but there is normally an entry level for most insurance companies at £10 million.

    Motor insurance

This is probably one of the most popular types of insurance, with companies offering deal after deal to try and gain customers. Motor insurance covers all types of road traffic accidents. You can get simple third-party cover, which means that your insurance company will pay out for any damages to the other vehicle, or personal injury claims, if you have caused them.

    Open Claim Calculator

You could also get third-party, fire, and theft cover, which is the same as the above but also offers a payout of your car is stolen or set on fire. Then, finally, the fullest cover you can get is fully comprehensive, which covers the entire mentioned above, plus damages to your own vehicle as well.

    Product liability insurance

This is taken out by manufacturers in case the goods they sell fail to meet the requirements to be safe for the consumers, and someone is injured due to faulty goods and feels they need to make a personal injury claim against the producer or importers.

    Public liability insurance

Public liability insurance provides unlimited cover for public places such as libraries, cinemas, and shopping centres.

    Professional indemnity insurance

This is an insurance taken out by professional people, such as medical professionals and teachers, should they have a claim made against them for negligence in the course of their profession. An experienced law firm in South Lakeland should be able to provide you with more information on all of the above.
