"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

Cost of a solicitor in Oxford

It can be hard to know what the cost of a solicitor in Oxford is going to be before you start making a claim or pursuing legal action.  Invariably the costs involved will be increased by the amount of time that has to be spent on any case.  While it may be possible to give a good indication of how long something may take life has a funny way of throwing us curve balls which means that additional work often needs to be done.

However, when it comes to personal injury claims and the seeking of compensation things work slightly differently.  Continue reading to find out more.

Working out that cost of a solicitor in Oxford when it comes to personal injuries

Instead of charging an hourly rate to get your compensation claim finalised most personal injury lawyers work on a no win, no fee basis.  This is certainly what the in house solicitors at Accident Advice Helpline do anyway.

What this will mean for you as a client is that you will only have to pay a legal fee to your Accident Advice Helpline solicitor if they are able to secure you a successful claim.  Essentially if there is no compensation won there is no legal fee paid.

While that helps a lot in terms of affording the legal process what does it mean in terms of how much you will have to pay once the claim is completed?  We work on the basis that we will take a percentage of your compensation award to cover our legal fee.  This will be a predetermined percentage so that you know what you will be passing over (although you will not necessarily know the precise monetary value).  However, this will be capped at an absolute maximum of 25% so no matter how much you receive, you will always walk away with more than you have handed to us.

This can be useful because although you still won’t have a precise figure until the very last minute, you will always know that you are going to be able to cover the fee.  And that is why we work on this basis, so that no one has to worry about finding a large sum of money that they just might not have.
