    Making a Conwy compensation claim

It couldn’t be easier to make a Conwy compensation claim. All you need to do is contact Accident Advice Helpline and we can do all the hard work for you. The first thing you need to do if you are considering making a Conwy compensation claim is to find out whether or not you are eligible to make a claim.

As making a claim is a legal process there are certain legal criteria that need to be met in order for you to pursue a claim. This is the same for everyone, regardless of the type of injury they have received or where their accident occurred.

The simplest way to find out whether you can make a claim or not is to take Accident Advice Helpline’s 30-second test. This will be able to tell you almost immediately if you can make a claim.

Generally speaking however you will be able to make a compensation claim if you can satisfy the following criteria:

    • You have received a personal injury of some description as a result of an accident.
    • The accident which caused your personal injury was not your fault.
    • The accident occurred within the last three years (or it is not more than three years since you became aware of your injury/condition).

Provided that you are 18 years of age (or older) then you will be able to make a claim. If you are currently a minor and are enquiring whether or not you can make a Conwy compensation claim, then it is best to speak directly to one of our advisors. They can provide you with free, no-obligation advice and then put you in touch with one of our solicitors. They will then be able to discuss further with you whether it is best to pursue a claim now, or wait until you reach 18 to initiate your claim.

The amount of compensation you will be awarded as a result of your claim will vary depending on the circumstances.

You receive some compensation as a result of the injuries themselves. This is designed to recognise the pain and suffering you have had to endure.

You can then receive additional payments depending on whether you have lost income through an inability to work as a result of your accident and injuries. You can also recover any expenses you have had to cover as a result of your injuries. These can range from covering the cost of travelling to and from medical appointments (including assessment with our medical expert) and any medical treatments you have had to pay for. This in turn can include prescriptions for medications, or additional therapy such as massage, holistic or dental.

If you keep all associated and relevant receipts your solicitor will do all they can to ensure these are added to your final Conwy compensation amount.

To discuss your claim in more detail with an advisor just dial 0800 689 0500 from your land line, or 0333 500 0993 from your mobile.
