    Compensation following a car accident

    Compensation following a car accident

If you are looking to seek compensation following a car accident, you’ve come to the right place. We successfully process thousands of such claims every year, and have the advanced technical knowledge of this complex system that makes the difference.

Our in-house team of solicitors are all personal injury specialists, and offer claims on the basis of no win no fee. So before we describe how our claims are processed, let’s take a look at whether you’re eligible to start a case.

    A three-year time limit

A timescale of three years runs from the date of your accident to the start date of a claim. Some exceptions to this rule can be made, one of which is when a minor has been involved. Also, in some cases the injury is not felt until some time after the accident – this is common with whiplash injuries, for example.

In cases such as these, the date on which your injury was formally linked to the accident may be used.

Not to blame for the accident

Your claim will be made against a third party who has acted negligently to cause the accident, so you must not have been to blame yourself. If you are unsure whether or not you could be held to blame, just call our helpline advisors and they will be able to assist.

    Your injuries medically treated

The third main requirement for eligibility is that your injuries were treated by a medical professional. It’s worth noting, however, that this doesn’t need to take place at the accident scene. Many people attend their local accident and emergency department, or visit their own GP for treatment.

How we process a claim for compensation following a car accident

We endeavour to deal with as many claims as possible over the phone, as this often means that customers don’t need to go to court. We also offer the no win no fee funding method for all claims made with us, which serves to minimise your financial risks.

If you decide to pursue a claim after our helpline advisors have given you all the information you need, we’ll put you in contact with one of our in-house team of legal experts. Once the evidence required for your case has been indentified and collected in, we’ll be able to commence negotiations with the legal representative of the negligent third party.
