"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Car Wreck

There are many factors that can contribute to a car wreck. It may be caused by the negligence of another driver, owing to speeding, drink-driving, use of a mobile phone while driving, or something else. It may also be caused by environmental factors such as faulty traffic lights, potholes, or inadequate signs to indicate road works or other hazards.

Whatever the cause of your car wreck, if it wasn’t your fault, Accident Advice Helpline can help you get the compensation you deserve. We’ve been in business since 2000 and since then have helped thousands of people involved in accidents on the road through no fault of their own.

Fortunately, modern vehicle safety features mean that more people now survive serious road traffic accidents than in the past. But even if you have been fortunate enough to escape without serious injury, you can still claim compensation for damage to your vehicle and the inconvenience of being without it while it is repaired.

How much compensation can I get for a car wreck?

Amounts of compensation can only be estimated and vary from case to case, but take a look at our testimonials to read some of our previous clients’ stories and the amount of compensation we’ve helped them to claim.

If you have suffered a car wreck that was somebody else’s fault, there are a number of expenses that you are entitled to claim on top of compensation for your injuries:-

    • Compensation for vehicle collision damage
The cost of any repairs to your vehicle or, if your vehicle was beyond economic repair (written off), the estimated value of your vehicle taking into consideration its age, mileage and condition.
    • Cost of a hire vehicle
While your vehicle is being repaired you may claim the expense of a hire vehicle.
    • Loss of use of vehicle
If you choose not to hire a vehicle whilst yours is being repaired, you can still recoup a sum of money known as the “loss of use of vehicle” calculated on a daily rate.
    • Vehicle credit repair and hire
Vehicle repair and hire can be expensive. If you need to enter into a legal credit agreement to pay them you can claim the additional cost.
    • Vehicle recovery expense
If your vehicle has to be towed from the scene of the accident to a repair garage or to a storage unit, you are entitled to claim the cost back.
    • Vehicle storage expenses
Your vehicle may be stored whilst awaiting repair. You are entitled to claim reasonable storage expenses.
    • Loss of fuel in the tank
If your vehicle is written off, you are entitled to claim the expense of the fuel that was in the tank at the time of your traffic accident.
