    Calderdale claims for a fall

When innocent victims are considering making Calderdale claims for a fall, there are many questions they usually want answered. At Accident Advice Helpline we endeavour to answer them all, but here are some of the most common ones we are asked.

Who qualifies to make Calderdale claims for a fall?

The law in the UK specifies the rules for making a claim:

    • You must have been in an accident that was not your fault
    • You must have sustained injuries in the accident
    • The injuries must have warranted medical attention
    • The accident must have taken place no more than three years ago

Any victim that fits these criteria can make Calderdale claims for compensation, following a fall or any other kind of accident.

Are there any accidents excluded from compensation claims?

The simple answer to this is no, as long as they fit the criteria, all accidents are within the scope of personal injury claims.

Are there any injuries excluded from Calderdale claims for compensation?

Again, the answer is no, as long as they fit the criteria.

Is it costly to claim compensation?

At Accident Advice Helpline we work on a no win no fee* basis, so that the option of making a compensation claim is available to all innocent victims. This has not always been the situation, but since April 2000, no money has been needed to start a claim, or if the claim is lost.

Can I find out how much I will get?

At the start of a claim it is impossible for anyone to give you a definite figure of how much your compensation will be. There are many different factors that can affect the final settlement figure. What we can do though is give you an estimate of how much it might be, and the easiest way to get this is to complete the 30-second test on our website.

Do you have any other online options?

Yes we do – we have an online claim form.  This asks a few more details than the 30-second test, but allows an adviser to assess your claim and contact you to see if you want to proceed.

Can I contact you by phone?

We have a freephone helpline on 0800 689 0500. This is manned by friendly and helpful advisers who are trained to provide you with relevant and up to date information about your claim. Speaking to them puts you under no obligation to use our services and they will not pressurise you to make a claim – that decision has to be yours alone.

Are you experienced at making personal injury claims?

We have spent more than 15 years successfully helping claimants get the compensation they were entitled to, and it is because of the high quality service that Accident Advice Helpline gave them, that we have earned ourselves an enviable reputation for customer service. This reputation is why we get over 25,000 new enquiries every month, and why Dame Esther Rantzen, UK consumer champion, is very happy to recommend our services.
