"If you've been injured through no fault of your own you could be entitled to compensation. If you're unsure if you could claim, I recommend you call Accident Advice Helpline."

    Broken your leg?

    Have you broken your leg?

Accidents are never fun are they? Especially if you are hurt in one that was not your fault. These things do happen, of course and all the time – but some accidents are preventable, provided certain precautions are taken.

    Hop to it

If you have broken your leg, for example, in the street or at work in a non-fault accident, then there may well have been steps that the third party (employer, contractor etc.) could have taken that would have prevented your accident.

Workplace accidents are perhaps one of the more common, and they are frequently caused by faulty equipment or improperly implemented procedures.

If you have broken your leg at work because of faulty equipment, loose guardrails, rickety shelving… Then you may be able to claim personal injury compensation.

    Is claiming for compensation costly?

The lawyers at Accident Advice Helpline all work on a no-win no-fee basis, meaning that you need absolutely no money to start a claim and there are no fees should the claim be unsuccessful. There are guidelines, however, and certain criteria that need to be met in order to qualify for the help of a no-win, no-fee lawyer, from any law firm not just Accident Advice Helpline.

The criteria that needs to be met are…

    1. Any accident where you have broken your leg, or anything else, must not have been your fault
    2. Any gap between the accident, and the date of the claim cannot be longer than three years (there are some exceptions, so please do ask if you are not sure)
    3. You need to have sought medical help/advice following the accident (if you’ve broken your leg, then this is probably the very first thing that you did)

Provided that you can put a tick against the three points above, then you have a good chance of being eligible in the no-win, no-fee stakes.
