    Broken toes

Sustained broken toes in an accident?

Dependent upon on how you received your injury, and how bad the injury is, compensation can be paid for broken toes; as long as the accident was caused by somebody other than yourself.

    • How much does a fractured toe pay in compensation?

That depends on how badly your toe is broken. The fractures can range from a hairline fracture to a break where the toe needs surgery to realign it.

    • Can you be certain you have broken toes?

The only way to be absolutely certain is to have X-Rays. Sprain and break symptoms can be very similar, and in some cases may be treated in a similar way.

    Symptoms include…

    1. Pain
    2. Swelling
    3. Redness
    4. Bruising
    5. Possibly blood beneath the toenail
    6. Coldness or numbness which could mean a damaged nerve as well as a broken toe
    • What is the healing time for broken toes?

A fracture can take four to six weeks with strapping, with more severe injuries taking much longer. A doctor will monitor the progress, in case complications set in.
