    Brent car accident claims

Brent is a popular place name that stems from Old English. It may mean a high place, or steep hill, which is the case if you are looking at Brent in Somerset or in Devon, both of which are villages. However, it also refers to the London Borough of Brent, which is in the north-western part of Greater London. This has a far bigger population than either of the villages, as around 328,000 people live here. It would not be unusual, therefore, for there to be a few Brent car accident claims each year.

Car accidents happen for all kinds of reasons. Usually, a lack of attention, or a moment’s absent-mindedness, might be to blame for an accident. But even if someone else admits they were at fault, it doesn’t take back the situation or the injuries you may now have because of what happened.

Typical injuries that might be suffered in a car crash

The injuries someone might get would depend on how their car was hit, and what speeds were involved. For example, some accidents happen in car parks or in slow-moving traffic, where people may lose their concentration for a moment and bump another car. This may well occur at a low speed, and the injuries might therefore either be non-existent or be limited to mild whiplash.

However, if the accident happens on the road, it may mean two cars strike each other head-on, such as if a car turns across your lane and doesn’t see you. You have no time to stop, and will hit them, but it would be their fault the accident happened. In such cases, whiplash, bruising from the seat belt, and other bumps and scrapes might happen – again, depending on the speeds involved. The greater the speed, the more likely it is more damage will be done to the cars, and there is also a greater chance of more serious injuries happening.
