    Bradford accident at work compensation

Stay fit in a sedentary job and how to make an accident at work compensation claim if you are injured at work

If you have a sedentary job then it can be difficult to stay fit and healthy in your day to day life. Working all the time and having other commitments out of the office means that it is difficult to get the exercise you want or need every day. This can lead to weight gain, back problems and other health issues which you will want to avoid. If you are working in a sedentary job and have a busy lifestyle then you will need to work out some ways of getting your health and fitness up whilst still being able to fulfil your commitments. Here are some ways in which you can do this.

    • Get up. Instead of letting other people fetch things for you or sending an email to someone else in the office, get up and move around as often as you can. If you get up a few times in the day you may double the amount of exercise you are getting each day.
    • Walk or cycle. You may find that it is both cheaper and easier to walk or cycle into work each day, and this will help you to get your daily exercise before you have even gotten to work. Not only this, but it will help to wake you up and refresh you for your day.
    • Take the stairs. Obviously if you work anything above the fifth floor this may not be possible all the time, simply because it will take so long, but if you work on the first or second floors do you really need to be taking the lift every time? If you struggle on the stairs, at least decide to always take the stairs down if not up.
    • Exercise at your desk. There are stretches and light exercises you can do at your desk which won’t take very long and will help to prevent the aches and pains that come with doing office work as well.
