    Blackwood personal injury claims

When making Blackwood personal injury claims, people often have many questions about how to start a claim, and also the funding process. To address some of your most pressing concerns surrounding a claim for personal injury, here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions on our helpline.

How do I know if I am eligible to start a claim for compensation?

Three main criteria exist to be eligible to make a personal injury claim in the UK:

    • There is a three-year timescale in which to start your claim. This is taken from either the date of your accident, or from the date on which your injuries were formally attributed to the incident.
    • You must not have been at fault for the incident – personal injury cases involve claiming against a negligent third party.
    • Treatment should have been received by a medical professional at the time of the accident or soon after.

It is not always easy to decide whether you meet these requirements. If you are unsure, just call our helpline advisers and they will be able to let you know straight away if you meet these conditions.

Do you have an in-house legal department for Blackwood personal injury claims?

We are proud to say that all our solicitors work in-house for Accident Advice Helpline. This means that you can rely on a team of professionals, all with experience of personal injury law. None of our legal work is outsourced, offering you peace of mind that your claim is being dealt with in a professional manner.

Will my claim be made using no win, no fee?

Our solicitors all work on the basis of no win, no fee. This means that you can commence a claim with no financial worries, and even if your case is unsuccessful you will not need to pay any fees to your solicitor.

No win, no fee minimises your risk of taking legal action in a financial sense, as well as providing peace of mind emotionally.

How long does it take Accident Advice Helpline to start a claim?

We process all cases pro-actively, quickly gathering the evidence required and commencing negotiations with the third party’s legal representative. Each case is different, however, and the time taken to do this depends on various factors including how many other people were involved in the accident, and the severity of your injuries.

Because of this we are not able to say with certainty how long each individual claim will take, but you will be kept up-to-date on progress at every step of the way.
