    Getting your claim off to a good start

    If you are thinking about claiming, there are a few things that you can do to make sure your claim has a good chance of success.

    1. You should write down all the details of your accident – to jog your memory and to ensure that you give your injury lawyer a coherent account of what happened.
    2. Collect together any evidence that will help your claim, such as photographs of visible injuries, or the contact details of any witnesses.
    3. Make sure you keep hold of anything that proves your accident related expenses, such as receipts, bank/ credit card statements and payslips.
    4. Wait until you are sure that you have made a full recovery before you claim, so that you get all of the money that you are entitled to – you can only claim once!
