Are You Making A Claim For An Old Whiplash Injury

Have you suffered an old whiplash injury?

If you’ve suffered an old whiplash injury, you probably know just how painful they can be. Although people often assume that whiplash subsides in a few days or weeks after it occurs, often it can last months or even years.

Whilst whiplash is often associated with car crashes and road traffic accidents, it can actually be caused in a variety of ways. Generally, an incident which involves some form of impact could result in whiplash so, whilst you may have suffered whiplash because of a car crash, it could easily have occurred following a jolt or trip.

However your whiplash injury occurred, we may be able to help. If you weren’t responsible for the incident and your old whiplash injury was caused by someone or something else, there’s a good chance that we’ll be able to help you make a claim for compensation.

Due to the nature of the injury, you may find that your everyday life is affected in numerous ways. For example, as whiplash can often limit a person’s mobility, you may find that you’re unable to drive, cook or even carry out your job properly.

If this is the case, you may find that you have to pay extra costs and expenses because of your injury. If, for example, you’re unable to drive, you may have to spend more on public transport or taxis or you may have to take a pay cut if you need to switch job roles. In such instances, you may find that when you make a claim for your old whiplash injury, you’re also able to claim back any costs you’ve incurred or income that you’ve lost as well.

Although many claimants often opt to make a compensation claim straightaway following an injury, some people don’t realise that they’re able to make a claim or they assume that it will be too time-consuming or costly. If your old whiplash injury occurred some time ago and you regret not making a claim, we could still help!

At Accident Advice Helpline, we regularly help claimants who have suffered injuries within the last three years. Providing your old whiplash injury occurred within this time, there’s a good chance that we’ll still be able to help you make a compensation claim and you could still successfully obtain compensation.
