    Accident Solicitor in Clitheroe

You might need an Accident Solicitor in Clitheroe whilst going for a cup of coffee

Clitheroe is a picturesque market town surrounded by unspoilt Lancashire countryside. Against the backdrop of Clitheroe is Pendle Hill. This gained its kudos from perhaps one of the most famous witchcraft trials in English History. During the 16th century, whole parts of Lancashire seemed to be contaminated with witches. Superstition led folks to believe that they could fall under a witch’s charm. If cows stopped supplying them with milk, it was the fault of the witch and if anyone became ill, a witch had used a charm or said a magic word to hurt them. In 1612 at the Lancaster Assizes, 16 women were committed for trial and most of them tried for witchcraft. Ten of them were executed at Lancaster.

    Today’s technology

Hopefully, these days we recognise superstition for what it is and can understand where hurt or illnesses come from. No doubt that if one of the women convicted as a witch in 1612 could see our world today, they would be certain that it was definitely full of magic. For instance, I am sure that if they could see the contraptions which we use for making hot drinks, they would instantly label it as a magical machine. Although they are not that, if today’s technology is not used with care, we can get harmed by them. Unlike folk from 1612 we can often be quite sure why we are getting body pain.

If you go for a cup of coffee whilst having a day out; you will probably enjoy it. However, if it is boiling hot when the waitress hands it to you and she does not warn you, you could badly burn your mouth. This can be so painful that it could stop you from eating and drinking and make you ill. Burns in places which are used constantly take more time to heal. This would probably affect the whole of your lifestyle and even your ability to work.
