    Accident repair centres

If you are searching online for accident repair centres because you have had an accident, you need to stop a minute and think about this.

If you have been involved in an accident in the past three years that was not your fault and if you suffered personal injuries in that accident and have incurred out of pocket expenses as a result, then you may well be entitled to compensation. If this is the case, take a break from surfing through accident repair centres websites and talk to us at Accident Advice Helpline.

Which of the many accident repair centres do I choose?

If you’re in need of accident repair centres the first thing you need to remember is that the choice of repairer is yours but you really ought to find someone who is reputable. If you are having to make a claim through your insurance company don’t forget that some insurers operate an ‘approved repairer scheme’ so you can only go to the one they advise. However, this is only advisory and the final decision about where your vehicle is repaired is entirely up to you. If you are not making an insurance claim then the world is your oyster.

    Getting an estimate

If you are making a claim through an insurance policy it is usually only necessary, under the terms of most insurance policies, to have one repair estimate.  If your insurer instructs you to obtain more than one, you can point out that you don’t want to be put to this trouble.

You should also be aware that even though your insurer gives you the go ahead to carry out any repair work needed on your car, this does not necessarily mean they have accepted your claim or in fact ever will. You will have to wait whilst they investigate your claim in more detail and get witness statements etc.
