What is an accident form?
An accident form may refer to one of the following:
- A form to fill out in the accident log book at your workplace, if your injury occurred at work
- An accident form to begin the process of claiming compensation following a personal injury
If you are using an accident form to make a claim for compensation, it may be lengthy and time consuming, or may it be short and simple. Typically it will take your details including your name, contact information and the area of your body affected by the accident.
Specialist law firms such as Accident Advice Helpline ensure that forms are not an essential part of the claims process – saving you time and effort. We understand that incurring a personal injury can be a very difficult and stressful time for you, which is why we make every attempt to ensure you need not feel daunted or put off at any stage.
Accident Advice Helpline’s accident form is a very short and simple form, used to capture basic details which are then passed over to a highly trained, professional adviser. Your adviser will then call you back to discuss your claim in full, ensuring that you understand each step and are able to go through the entire process with minimum fuss, and whilst being looked after by our friendly, understanding staff. Alternatively, if you prefer not to use an accident form, you can call our advice line on 0800 689 0500, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No matter when you feel ready to set the claims process in motion, we are ready to listen and help.
How do I know if I am eligible to make a claim?
At Accident Advice Helpline, we have a 30 second calculator online which takes just half a minute, not only to confirm your eligibility, but also to return a compensation figure so you have an idea of the amount you may be entitled to. This is dependent on the severity of your condition, but is a very useful benchmark to be used throughout the claims process, so you are able to manage your personal expectations.
I am eligible – how do I actually claim?
Once you have made initial contact with Accident Advice Helpline, either via our advice line on 0800 689 0500, through our claim, or the 30 second calculator, you can relax – the rest is in our hands! We will talk you through every step, and in most cases we can process claims entirely via the telephone. You will likely not need to attend court, although you may be required to attend a medical assessment.
Endorsed by consumer champion and well-loved TV personality Esther Rantzen, you can have the peace of mind that we will always have your best interests in mind throughout the claims process. We operate on a no win, no fee* basis, and are members of the Claims Standards Council.
